MITOSATH - Mission to Safe the Helpless .
Mission to Save the Helpless (MITOSATH) support for onchocerciasis control started in 1996 with about 22,000 treatments, which expanded over the years to about 936,000 treatments in 2005. In addition, MITOSATH also supports Lymphatic filariasis elimination, micronutrient deficiency through vitamin A and iron-folate supplementation, nutrition education, and community-based rehabilitation. We are a Non-Governmental Development Organization (NGDO) committed to improving the quality of life of the poor and rural indigent through advocacy, raising awareness, resource mobilization and energizing the collective will of all stakeholders for the control and elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
