Introduction
The Participation Scale (P-scale) is a scale to measure (social) participation for use in rehabilitation, stigma reduction and social integration programmes. The P-scale was developed by an international team, coordinated by Dr. Wim van Brakel.
The Participation Scale has been translated in many languages, including the following: Amharic, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia (Skala Partisipasi), Bangla, Bengali, Bugies, Chinese, Dutch, French, Hausa, Hebrew, Hindi, Igbo, Jordanian Arabic, Kiswahili, Maithili, Nepali, Portuguese, Slovak, Spanish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Urdu, Vietnamese and Yoruba.
Note: If you decide to use a translation of the Participation scale, please make sure to check it against the latest English version (v6.0).
The 13-item Participation Scale Short (PSS) is an abbreviated version of the Participation Scale and can be used to measure (social) participation for use in rehabilitation, stigma reduction and social integration programmes.
