Neglected Tropical Disease (NTDs)
Abstract
Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) refers to a diverse group of endemic tropical diseases that primarily impact poor and marginalised populations. This chapter will provide an overview of three case studies as a representation of NTDs and the strategies that can be implemented to reduce their prevalence worldwide, such as vector control, improved sanitation and education.
