Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing PPPHW : "Health in your Hands".
The Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing (with Soap) is a coalition of international stakeholders who work explicitly to promote handwashing with soap and recognize hygiene as a pillar of international development and public health. The PPPHW was founded in 2001 and is a coalition of national and international organizations committed to promoting handwashing with soap on a large scale.
The PPPHW aims to drive forward, develop, and share knowledge that strengthens handwashing implementation, and to build political commitment, and trigger action to promote handwashing at local, national, and international levels, including through advocacy initiatives, such as Global Handwashing Day.
We empower practitioners to identify, understand, and implement the latest and most effective ways to promote good handwashing practices and implement good handwashing behavior change interventions.
We provide evidence-based advice to empower and motivate policymakers to prioritize handwashing through key targets, guidelines, and policies at the national, regional, and international levels.
