FAIRMED is a Swiss health development organization with a long history in neglected diseases affecting neglected populations. Via the neglected diseases we identify our target population and in a comprehensive approach, considering all health-related factors, we break the vicious cycle of disease and poverty. On the one side, we are close to the communities, know their needs and capacitate them and on the other side, we strengthen the primary health care systems which is the first access point to health for our communities. We believe in local capacities and all our offices and projects in Africa and Asia are managed by local experts.
