CWW - Childeren Without Worms: Partnership for Treating and Preventing Intestinal Worms.
From our inception in 2006, Children Without Worms (CWW) has been focused on eliminating the suffering caused by soil-transmitted helminthiasis (STH), commonly known as intestinal worm infections. From 2007 – 2013, CWW primarily served as a drug donation program, facilitating more than 176 million Vermox™ deworming treatments, donated by Johnson & Johnson, to school-age children at risk of STH in 14 countries.children at risk of STH in 14 countries.
In April 2014, CWW’s role in the STH community expanded when we were named Secretariat of the STH Coalition, a growing multi-sectoral organization made up of partners committed to controlling STH around the world.
Our vision: A world in which children are healthy and develop to their full potential. Our mission: Enhance the health and development of children by reducing intestinal worm infections.
We promote relationships and networks among partners and capture, develop, and share STH information and best practices for use in the field. Our work focuses on four pillars:
- Country Support
- Partnerships and Advocacy
- Knowledge Management
- Technical and Scientific Collaboration
